AGLA Holiday Party
Look forward to AGLA’s annual Holiday Party on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at The Commentary, located at 801 N Glebe Rd, Arlington, VA 22203 in the Westin Arlington Gateway hotel. This will be a chance for you to socialize with other AGLA members and friends. Please RSVP here so we have an accurate guest count for catering. The entire venue has been reserved for this occasion. Over 100 guests are expected. There will be plenty of good cheer, with a cash or credit bar with an extended happy hour menu.
AGLA will once again be collecting boxes of cereal and nonperishable foods at the event to donate to AFAC (www.afac.org), the community leader in providing and promoting dignified access to nutritious food for those in need. This time of year AFAC many times sees an increase in those needing food assistance; this is another great way that AGLA helps our community.
This exciting event is free for AGLA members. (Hint: You may join AGLA online here. You may join AGLA regardless of where you reside.) A donation jar will also be available at the party for non-AGLA members. The suggested donation is whatever you can afford.
AGLA is the party host, but you certainly don’t have to reside in Northern Virginia to go to the party. Please feel free to invite all your friends, as the more the merrier!
Aside from a fabulous party this event also provides members (and potential members – so bring your friends your are not members yet) an opportunity to provide direct input to the board about the direction and activities of AGLA. As an annual meeting, members get to elect the board for the upcoming year. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Complimentary garage parking will be available; simply validate at the hotel front desk. Extended happy hour pricing on drinks will also be available.
