AGLA Criteria for Links Additions

AGLA strives to make our links page is as all-inclusive as possible, with certain restrictions. We don't try to be Google and link to every possible page that could be of interest to our membership. AGLA.org is primarily a site for the Arlington, VA LGBT community and our supporters. By definition, our community can include other areas of Virginia or the DC Metro area. National links of interest to our community are also welcome.

ALL links on agla.org must be family-friendly, i.e. no nudity, personal ads, or other overt sexual content. The AGLA webmaster and Board of Directors reserve the right to refuse a link that does not conform to all criteria.

For approval of a link on the AGLA Links page, a web site must fit into an existing link category and meet the following criteria:

• Be an Arlington, DC Metro, or Virginia LGBT non-profit organization;
• Be an Arlington or DC Metro, or Virginia non-profit organization whose purpose AGLA supports;
• Be an Arlington County government site;
• Be an Arlington County or DC Metro fine arts site;
• Be a non-partisan political group with Arlington, DC Metro, or National significance to the LGBT community. (Partisan links allowed if similar links are available for at least two political parties.)
• Be an LGBT-supportive faith group;
• Be an Arlington or DC Metro business with proven support of the LGBT community
  • Gay-owned and AGLA membership a plus, but not required
  • Shows support by either offering discounts to AGLA members for our Deals page or is willing to donate gift certificates or merchandise for our raffles and other fund raising events.

Additional link subject areas are possible, but AGLA will not add a new section for just one link. If you'd like to request a new section for your site and there isn't a current topic area you fit in to, please be prepared to suggest additional links for a new section.

AGLA reserves the right to modify link criteria at any time.
